Just returned from an amazing 2 night stay at Haaspoort. Wish we could've stayed longer., and next time we will. We booked all 4 cottages at Haaspoort for my dad's 60th birthday celebration. It was such a treat. We arrived at about lunch time on our first day. The staff were really sweet and welcoming. We were really impressed by the quality of the accommodation. The rooms are really spacious and well equipped, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The communal lounging lapa with braai was perfect for our party of 8, with a really well equipped kitchen. We spent 2 days exploring the beautiful surrounds on foot and mountain bike. We saw plenty of different wildlife species including zebra, wildebeest and various antelope species, as well as many other smaller game and interesting plant species. Inbetween, we relaxed at the pool, and enjoyed our evenings braaing and chatting around the bonfire.

After staying at Haaspoort Bush Camp only one word springs to mind FANTASTIC. We booked a 4 night stay with a 3 day hunting trip last October and were flabbergasted The chalets were immaculate providing in all the comforts one needs when in the bush. The food , home cooked with specialties from the Karoo was exquisite, we know as we are professional chefs ourselves, thanks to the lady of the house Lindsay and her staff. As for things to do, you can go for nature walks, a dip in the pool, Victor and Lindsay will provide anything you need.

Thank you Victor and Lindsay for giving our family the opportunity to stay at your little (Not so little) piece of paradise. My daughter Bronwyn recommended that we all go there for new year as she had spend the previous Christmas there, So glad we did. From the minute we arrived the staff were there to greet us and unpack all our luggage and take to our respective rooms. They were so hospitable yet quite discreet. The accommodation is quite luxurious and spacious and I love the lapa / kitchen / bar area. All well spread out. We also enjoyed the welcoming pool and the men loved the 4 X 4 routes and cycled their little hearts out. (On their own bikes). I know you have bikes there as well. Will definately come again and refer to all our friends.

My wife and I spent 2nights at Haaspoort over the new year period. What a pleasure, no TV and no cell phone cover. The Lodges are beautifully appointed and although the temperatures were in the late 30's, the high thatch roof made for lovely a cool interior(ceiling fan in roof as well). We opted for self catering and had 2 exellent braais under an amazing karoo / African sky.We saw lots of kudu and other buck as well as an abundance of bird life, with a couple of black eagle sitings. The staff were wonderfully helpfull and inconspicuous.would suggest that to enjoy this wonderfull lodge, as we did, that you need a 4x4 with good ground clearance(4x4 trails are great)

My dad and I recently had the pleasure of staying with Victor and Lindsay for a few days at their Haaspoort lodge. Their property is simply exquisite. The landscape is rugged, beautiful and absolutely FULL of life everywhere you look. In one glance we would routinely see multiple species of exotic wild animals roaming at their pleasure. At night, we were treated to a seemingly impossible view of the night's sky, so full of stars and unblemished with city lights as to seem a painting. The accomodations are first rate as well. Their chalets are stylish, incredibly comfortable and well maintained. Meals with the Watsons were a highlight of every day. Victor and Lindsay were SO incredibly welcoming to us and hospitable, we both considered their company and dinner conversation to be as much a part of the vacation experience as enjoying the outdoors as we intended....

What a fantastic soul-refreshing bush getaway. The mountains, the vegetation and the setting all work together to create a majestic amphitheater from which to enjoy the simple pleasures of spending time with family and cooking on an open fire. We had a wonderful time, our two young boys enjoyed exploring the bush and climbing the mountains. The pool area was a hit soaking up the summer sun, an oasis in the wilderness. And one of my favorite features was the outdoor shower, nothing better to start unwinding by showering with the bush as your backdrop. An awesome experience and highly recommended.
