Haaspoort is home to a large variety of rare plants and
succulents such as the prehistoric "Elephant's Foot" and
cycads. Bushwalks are popular, as your hosts will introduce
you to the rare and beautiful flora and fauna of the Karoo.
The legendary "Zeekoiegat", a natural waterhole in a
valley on the reserve, is the perfect place to cool off after an
exhilarating hike. An interesting historical feature as it is
believed that this is where the last of the Karoo's hippos
once roamed.
All hiking, mountain biking, self drive routes and 4x4
trails are marked with maps and interesting information
available on each route.
Book a big five day safari to neighbouring Blaauwbosch
Private Game Reserve and experience elephant, lion, cheetah and
buffalo in their natural surrounds.
Haaspoort is in close proximity to the Addo Elephant National
Park, the Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site and the
historical town of Graaff-Reinet.
